Many of you reading this probably won’t know the name Sherman Hemsley but you’ll recognize his face. The actor was most famous to the older generation as George Jefferson from The Jeffersons.
Being 19, I remember him best from his guest appearances in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. He hilariously played a rival judge of Uncle Phil’s and in later appearances as his Jefferson’s character.
Sadly, the funnyman died yesterday and today the cause of death was from natural causes at the age of 74.
Surprisingly he never married and had no kids, RIP.
